Bee Craft Timely Reminder – Sept 7th 2016

A minimum of 18 kilos of honey is needed by colonies to eat during winter. A British Standard brood frame full on both sides holds about 2.5 kg. A detailed inspection with paper and pencil to write down what each frame holds will reveal how far short the colony is of the minimum requirement.
