BEEKEEPING SHOULD be fun and enjoyable. There’s nothing more exciting and interesting than seeing your girls out collecting pollen and nectar. Even cleansing flights have interest! We wait desperately for months in the winter, anxiously looking for the odd bee flying out in the cold days. Then, come February, we tell all our friends, whether they want to hear or not, that we saw a bee bringing pollen in. We spend hours looking at snowdrops to check if the bees are visiting them. Come March and April we’ve started to get busy. Then comes Stoneleigh where we all rush off and buy the latest gadget and see what’s new.
