Seen a bee?

Bee count logoThis  summer Friends of the Earth are conducting the first ever Great British Bee Count.

Here’s a message we received at Bee Craft from Sarah and the Bee Cause Team:

“If you see a bee in your garden, while you’re out in the countryside or even buzzing down the road, we’d love you to tell us about it. People started spotting bees on Tuesday and we’ve already had 175,000 bees sightings. To take part, simply download the free app, or if you don’t have a compatible smartphone, enter details of your sighting on the website. All the data you submit will help experts investigate the plight of bees and the steps needed to help them. And it’s loads of fun. P.S. Springwatch were so impressed by the Great British Bee Count they’ve mentioned it twice on this week’s show.”
